Kordberg

For CNC job shops

Upload the 3D model, send the quote in minutes.

Kordberg reads the STEP file and works out the holes, stock requirement, setup count and deburring time. Add your machine list, material prices and secondary operations, and the quote comes together on one screen.

Calculation results are for information only; the final quoting decision is yours.

From model to quote — how it works

Quotes live in spreadsheets

The same formulas are rebuilt for every part; one forgotten line item shows up as a loss in production, not in the quote.

Critical holes are spotted too late

Long, narrow holes, undercut faces and thin walls turn into “we can’t make this” after the quote has gone out.

Scrap and time are guesswork

Stock size, scrap rate and deburring time are typed in as estimates; the margin is quoted without ever being measured.

Hole analysis

See the critical holes before you quote.

As soon as the model loads, holes are grouped and diameter and L/D ratio are calculated. Holes beyond the safe limit are flagged with a red band, so you know at the quoting stage which hole will need which machine.

Smart hole and DFM panel: 3 hole groups, 2 critical

Stock and scrap

Stock requirement and scrap rate, the moment you add allowances.

Enter the machining allowance per axis and the clamping allowance; stock size, gross weight and scrap rate update automatically. The effect of the vise allowance on the part is visible in 3D.

Raw material and stock form: 124 × 84 × 26 mm stock, 51% scrap rate

Deburring and sharp edges

Stop guessing deburring time.

Sharp edges are split into external and internal, total edge length is measured, and your speed assumption gives an estimated deburring time. Chamfer and relief decisions flow into the quote as cost.

Deburring analysis: 1,908.4 mm of sharp edges, about 19 minutes

Analysis tools

Part engineering, in a single workspace.

Smart holes & DFM

Diameter, depth, L/D ratio; blind/through, tapered and countersink classification.

Stock and scrap

Block, round bar and profile stock; machining and clamping allowances; scrap rate.

Setup planning

Undercut analysis, OP10/OP20 setup count, 3- vs 5-axis decision.

Deburring & sharp edges

Edge type breakdown and estimated deburring time.

Wall thickness

Thin-wall findings and risk areas.

Tolerance & surface

Assign Ra and dimensional tolerances to faces and carry them into the quote.

Turning analyses

Axis of rotation, diameter steps, grooves, facing and stock allowance, manufacturability summary.

Center of mass

Mass, volume, moments of inertia and radius of gyration.

Section and X-ray

Section plane, named views, transparent model.

What the quote is built on

Your machines, your prices.

The quote is calculated from your shop’s real data, not generic factors. Enter it once, use it in every quote.

Machine list

Machine list

Machines, axis count, work envelope and hourly rate.

Material library

Material library

Aluminum, stainless, tool steel, plastics; with density and material removal rate.

Secondary operations

Secondary operations

Heat treatment, plating, grinding, marking; in-house or subcontracted.

Shipping & logistics

Shipping & logistics

Carriers, service levels, zone rates and surcharges.
